DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage, mentor and lead associate attorneys.
- Develop and implement business enhancing policies and systems.
- Manage the firm’s expansion process.
- Create and implement accountability and incentive compensation plans.
- Guide and achieve improvements to operational efficiencies and workflow.
- Assume responsibility for final appellate decisions, client-related decisions and other business decisions.
- Oversee and manage relationship and interaction with outside general counsel on all legal matters involving contracts, complaints, tax, compliance, etc.
- Manage and lead all managers and managing managers, including planning, accountability and implementation.
- Actively assist in new client development and case resolution in connection with firm’s expansion efforts to speed up learning process of lemon law business.
- Assist in the handling of the Ohio case docket (or other state where license matches) by assisting with interviewing, litigation events, motion practice and trial or arbitration, as needed.
- Function as one of the senior trial attorneys and assist junior attorneys with pending trials through counseling, preparation and/or actual trial (through pro hac vice), as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- J.D. from an ABA accredited institution and bar passage in one or more states.
- A minimum of 5 years of legal experience including trial work.
- Prior management experience required (law firm management experience is preferred).
- Prior experience designing and implementing accountability systems, operations systems and performance tracking systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work evening and/or weekend hours, as needed.
- Ability to travel on a limited basis including occasional overnight stays.
